Guinguette on the longest island in the Loire, Au bout de l'île is the perfect place to take a break on your Loire à Vélo route between Angers and Nantes.

This Ecotable-labelled guinguette on the banks of the Loire is based on the shared values of respect for the environment, eating well, sharing and meeting people. Conviviality, sustainable development, second life, local products, short circuits and organic produce form the basis of the spirit of the guinguette run by Véronique, Jean-Jacques and their children, Louise and Alexandre.
It's a family project, born out of a love for this little corner of paradise: the Ile de Chalonnes, opposite Montjean sur Loire, a peaceful wooded area between Angers and Nantes in the Anjou region.

What's their favourite part? Seeing people feel right at home and peacefully drifting off to sleep on deckchairs in the shade of the trees.

The guinguette also plays host to musicians for concerts under the starry summer night sky.
