Play the magnificent fairways of Anjou

In recent years the Anjou area has set to work on building courses to satisfy the growing numbers of French and foreign golfers.

From Saumur to Angers, Cholet to La Varenne, not to mention Champigné and Baugé, the golf clubs of Anjou can hold their own against their British or American counterparts. Wether set among vines, on the banks of the Loire, in the grounds of a 17th century château or nestled deep in the forest, each Anjou course has a different backdrop.

To take full advantage of your surroundings, you can even stay on the premises: the Golf d’Anjou& Country Club and Golf de Saumur have accommodation on site while the other courses are located near châteaux-hotels.

Challenging courses with varied landscapes

Whether you're looking to play 9 or 18 holes or simply improve your swing on a practice drive, you’re sure to find a course to suit you. Altogether, there are 8 courses in Anjou, including one designed by England’s Fred Hawtree, one of the world’s best golf architects.
Take in the beauty of the lakes and centuries-old trees as you rise to the challenges of your round. Thanks to excellent drainage, you can play in all seasons.

Our courses combine spectacular scenery with technical precision. They offer welcoming club houses, not so welcoming bunkers, covered practice drives, group or individual lessons, competitions and beautiful fairways. All that, combined with the authentic gentle charm that is the hallmark of Anjou.
