Parcours pêche la Salle

An exciting course for float tube fishing on the Thouet in the heart of the medieval town of Montreuil-Bellay!

Located along the chemin de la Salle, this course has been awarded the "passion" label for its high quality in terms of fish and fish life, and is recommended for float tube fishing on the Thouet. The course stretches from downstream of the Nobis dam to the La Salle structure, a distance of almost 1.5 kilometres.

A good population of black bass is well-established here, providing a great thrill for the lucky anglers who get the chance to catch them. Pike, pike-perch and perch are also well represented here.

You can take to the water downstream of the bridge over the Thouet (on the right bank) or near the watersports centre (information board and roadside car park).

You can also try out other fishing techniques on this course, such as telescopic rod fishing, feeder fishing or crayfish fishing with scales.
