Hélène and Philippe Lemaire, your hosts, take care of everything else so that you have nothing to do but enjoy your stay. They welcome you to "Le Lamartine", an Anjou-style house with an authentic decor combining marble and parquet flooring, just a 20-minute walk from Saumur town centre.
In fine weather, enjoy the sunshine on the terrace or in the garden.
A few steps away, near the château, don't miss the exceptional panoramic view over the Loire Valley.
Coming by bike?
The owners have a closed shelter for bikes, route maps, a repair kit and all the information you need for a successful Loire à Vélo holiday.
For your overnight stay, there are 3 bedrooms and one suite:
- The "Coquelicot" room, with its wood and red tones, is a bright room overlooking the street on the ground floor with its en suite bathroom.
- The "Coloniale" room, with its exotic, timeless style and orange tones, will appeal to those who like a mix of cultures. It is on the ground floor and overlooks the street, which does not prevent it from being bright thanks to its large French window. It has a private shower room.
- The "Terrace" room is ideal in summer. As you might have guessed, it lives up to its name by giving you direct access to the private terrace. It has a modern en suite shower room.
- The suite is the largest room on the ground floor, with its own entrance, and can accommodate 4 people. You'll love its warm, modern decor. Your hosts have played with colours and materials to bring out the character of this outbuilding adjoining the guest house. There's even a kitchenette and a small lounge.
After a refreshing night's sleep, Hélène and Philippe can recommend a romantic stroll through the old quarters of the town or a picturesque tour of Saumur castle. And if you're feeling restless, hop on your bike and set off along the banks of the Loire to discover Montsoreau and its history, or Les Rosiers sur Loire and its traditional biscuit factory, Le Vinaillou.
