A walk through time
This year, the park is presented in a singular state. After ten years of planting, transformations and patience, nature is entering a period of rest. In 2026, the plants seem to be slowing down, catching their breath, recharging their batteries, the better to renew the biodiversity they harbour. This suspended moment is a rare opportunity to look differently. It's an opportunity to grasp the rhythms of life, to measure what ten years have already inscribed on the landscape, what only time can reveal.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a free walk, lasting up to two hours. The walk is designed as a retrospective on the development of the park since 2016 and on the reforestation work undertaken on the estate. Echoing the national theme of views, the tour will use images, panels and comparative views to observe the metamorphoses of Perma Parc and the château's landscapes between past and present.
Visitors will also be able to take advantage of the season opening of the Tisanerie de l'Empereur, set up under the large trees on the edge of the moat. In a setting conducive to contemplation, a gourmet break is a natural extension of the visual experience of the park.
Throughout the visit, an audioguide on the permanent tour of the park will enable you to explore the estate in greater depth. This permanent tour immerses visitors in the green heritage of the château, while exploring the science of plants in the 19th century. You'll be able to listen as you look, and the walk will become a journey through history, science and landscape.
Among the activities on offer, ArboriFolia invites visitors to have a more personal encounter with the world of plants. Inspired by the Celtic and Gallic calendars, this activity invites visitors to identify their totem tree by observing the species present in the park.
At Château de la Tourlandry, the landscape is not revealed in a single glance. It can be discovered in layers, between traces of the past, living impulses and the promise of renewal.
