Meet the authors at the Café du Père Riou: discussions, readings and book signings
The Café du Père Riou, in Morannes, invites you to a literary discussion with two local authors: Nienke Richard-Jaquet, from Morannes, and Mickael Chesneau, from Bouchemaine.
During this discussion, the authors will present their respective works, share their writing careers and chat with the audience. The meeting will be followed by a signing session.
Two literary worlds to discover:
Nienke Richard-Jaquet, born in the Netherlands and living in France since 1977, is a retired English teacher. She is the author of "L'étonnante histoire d'une boîte de petits pois" (published at the end of 2019), a gentle story about her summers camping and swimming on the banks of the Sarthe. In response to the enthusiasm of her readers, she has continued this literary adventure with "Une enfance fleurie au plat pays", which explores the same period in her life, this time from the point of view of her country of origin, offering a sensitive and contrasting view of two cultures.
Mickael Chesneau is the author of a first novel and two collections of poetry. He will be presenting his second novel, "Hésiter c'est trop réfléchir", a simple, sensitive piece of writing that offers an intimate reflection on human fragility and the meaning of life, but also on resilience and hope.
