With a quarry still in operation, the Chateaupanne quarry site (in the commune of Montjean-sur-Loire) is classified as a natural zone of ecological, faunistic and floristic interest. A short 3.5-kilometre loop will take you on a tour of this limestone and vegetation site, where several varieties of orchid flower in spring... A surprising and unusual place, with the remains of a lime kiln to discover along the way, where you can share your photographic views...
