Come and discover the history of the Vendée insurrection in the heart of the Mauges and the history of the reconstruction in a different way!
During this walk, a number of scenes based on historical facts will give you an insight into the day-to-day lives of the town's inhabitants around its surgeon, Sébastien Cady, from 1791 onwards. The afternoon walk, starting from the Chapelle de Notre Dame de Charité, will give you an insight into the many events that have taken place there since its origins.
The dialogues are inspired by the play "Le Chêne de Notre-Dame" ("The Oak of Our Lady") written by Abbé TRICOIRE, which has been performed since 1954 on the revolving stage in Saint-Laurent.
The "gourmet" part of the day takes place at the restaurant "LE LAURENTAIS" in the village of Saint-Laurent.
The "walking" part in the early afternoon, starts at the chapel and continues along the path towards Chalonnes, the old Chalonnes-Beaupréau road.
A friendly drink rounds off this wonderful day.
