Balade Historique et Gourmande à La Tourlandry/La Salle de Vihiers

Come and discover the history of the Vendée insurrection in the heart of the Mauges and the history of reconstruction!

During this walk, take a look back at the life of this village, which was devastated in 1794. And discover the foundations of a congregation that settled in La Salle de Vihiers during the Vendée Wars. The congregation has opened its doors to the public for this historic tour! You can also discover the heritage of La Tourlandry, with its church and old bell tower.

Sister Bernadette Grimault, the congregation's archivist, will lead the tour and comment on the history of the sisters' presence at La Salle de Vihiers.
