Knights, princesses and adventurers, come along to a creative workshop for children at the Joachim du Bellay Museum: an introduction to heraldry, designing a coat of arms and making a shield.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of castles, tournaments and heroes of yesteryear. After learning about the principles of heraldry – the art that enabled knights to be identified by their coats of arms – each child will create their own coat of arms.

Fantastic creatures, symbols of bravery, royal colours or imaginary designs: anything goes when it comes to designing a unique shield that reflects their personality.

And best of all… everyone will go home with their very own shield, ready to defend their kingdom!
