44ème Fêtes des Fleurs

Since 1931, the people of Macairo have been working hard to bring the flower festival to life every two years. Initially, the Comité de bienfaisance, now the Comité des fêtes, imagined a parade of bicycles and cars decorated with flowers. Over the years, the event has grown in scope, with the aim of harmonising the theme of the float, the dances and the harmony. Construction techniques evolved from wooden structures to the use of metal beams and round iron.

Millions of paper flowers are needed. Some floats use up to 50 shades of colour!

2026 programme to come

10am-24pm Funfair on Place du Prieuré.

Itinerary: rue Choletaise, du Commerce, Jules Verne, La Fontaine, d'Anjou, du Commerce and Place Henri Doizy.

Free admission and free programme distributed a few days before the event.
