A 4-day cycling break between the Loir Valley and the Loire Valley.
A 200km cycling loop between the discreet and authentic Loir valley and the majestic Loire valley. You'll pass through a collection of atmospheres and landscapes, dotted with châteaux, charming villages, rivers and forests.
ADVICE AND PRACTICAL INFORMATION
This 200km loop links Angers, La Flèche and Saumur, and is fully signposted. It is based on 4 cycle routes: La Vallée du Loir à Vélo, La Vélo Francette, La Vélobuissonnière and La Loire à Vélo.
The route alternates between shared lanes, little-travelled roads and greenways.
It can be completed in 3 or 4 days, and is not particularly difficult or steep.
Sections of the loop :
- Angers > La Flèche - 78 km, via the Vélo Francette and the Vallée du Loir à Vélo.
Shared lanes, 95%.
- La Flèche > Saumur - 69 km, via the Vélobuissonnière.
Shared routes, 40%, greenways 60%.
- Saumur > Angers - 60 km via the Loire à Vélo and La Vélo Francette (shared section)
Shared routes 50%, Greenways 50%, depending on the sections chosen.
We recommend doing this loop from Angers, accessible by train, car or bike, in the direction of La Flèche, clockwise.
