2 to 3 days cycling to discover the châteaux of the Loire Valley in Anjou
An 80km loop that brings together the must-see sites and landscapes of Anjou. With troglodyte dwellings, remarkable villages labelled "Most Beautiful Villages in France", Loire châteaux and not forgetting the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud, this loop is an ideal must for lovers of cycling and heritage.
ADVICE AND PRACTICAL INFORMATION
This 80km loop links Saumur, Montsoreau, Fontevraud l'Abbaye and, after a few kilometres in the Vienne, Brézé, Montreuil-Bellay and then Saumur.
The route is fully signposted and presents no particular difficulties. Take care when crossing the shared lanes. The loop can be completed in 2 or 3 days, depending on the time available for sightseeing.

- Saumur > Montsoreau > Fontevraud l'Abbaye - 19.5 km, signposted La Loire à Vélo, greenways 50%.
- Fontevraud l'Abbaye > Roiffé > Brézé - 28.5 km
- Brézé > Montreuil-Bellay - 11 km.
- Montreuil-Bellay > Saumur - 21 km, signposted La Vélo Francette.
We recommend completing this loop from Saumur, which is accessible by train, car or bicycle, in a clockwise direction.
