HAMEAU DE MANTELON

The charming hamlet of Mantelon (listed in the inventory of picturesque sites in Maine et Loire) seems to be slumbering on the slopes of its superb 18th-century château (the last to be built in Anjou before the Revolution), listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments. The medieval tower of the old château proudly dominates the Chemin de l'Orangerie, which leads straight to the Louet.
