The 32-hectare Parc du Château is a natural area open to the public free of charge every day of the year.
Whatever the season, redwoods, plane trees and oaks will be decked out in their most beautiful foliage, showering you with their branches as you stroll along, while wood hyacinths in spring and cyclamen in autumn offer a magnificent carpet of colour. A variety of landscapes can be seen along the way: wooded parkland, former orchards and the château garden, or the banks of the River Evre.
Along the way, you'll come across the internationally-renowned Pantall Stables training arena and, among the 32 hectares of walks, you'll come across a number of statues from the Montjean sur Loire symposium.
With a keen eye and a light step, it's not uncommon to come across squirrels and roe deer in the shelter of copses, or sheep resting in the shade of a magnificent holm oak.
In summer, take advantage of the cool banks of the Evre and stroll along, watching the mallards swim by or the kayakers glide by at the weekend.
Please note that dogs and bicycles are not permitted, even on a lead.
