Situated in the heart of the village of Grez-Neuville, the Mayenne offers great fishing!
The Mayenne flows between the market towns of Grez and Neuville. It offers a calm and relaxing place for people wishing to recharge their batteries by the water.
Thanks to its large slipway on the left bank, you can easily launch your boat or float tube for a spot of lure fishing in search of carnivorous fish. You'll mainly find pike-perch, perch and catfish.
There is also a small fishing line for shore anglers. Beware of the annual fishing reserve downstream of the dam and the specific fishing reserve (prohibiting all fishing from 1 March to 31 May inclusive). Make sure you get all the information you need before heading out on this route.
Picnic tables are available. You can also take advantage of the towpath to discover the mouth of the river Oudon or go downstream along the Mayenne. There are also restaurants along the river.
