Gite Le Bois Flotté

Welcome to the Gîte Le Bois Flotté in Saumur, a former sailor's house with an enclosed garden and views over the Loire, available to rent all year round. Ideally located in the "entre les Ponts" district, halfway (1 km) from the station and the historic centre of Saumur.

Sleeping 4 people, this 75 m² apartment has a pleasant living room with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge area with television (Amazon Prime Video, Netflix). The entire property is air-conditioned.
The house has two bedrooms, one on the ground floor and one upstairs, with an adjoining terrace. From all the bright rooms you can enjoy the surrounding countryside.
Each bedroom has its own bathroom (Italian-style shower for the ground-floor bedroom and bathtub upstairs), allowing you to retain your privacy if you come with friends.
The outside area has been landscaped so that you can take full advantage of the mild Anjou climate and the view over the Loire (depending on the season, as the level varies throughout the year).
The 150 m² garden is enclosed; you also have access to a second terrace below, in the shade of the trees, with a privileged view over the Loire. From breakfast to an evening barbecue, you can sit back and enjoy this haven of greenery on this part of Ile Millocheau, right in the heart of Saumur.
You can explore the town on foot or by bike directly from the gîte. There are shops and restaurants nearby, a pleasant market every Thursday, and a water sports centre 300 m away (children's playground, fitness trail, canoe hire, supervised swimming in summer, etc.).
The garden is enclosed, so you can leave your bikes in peace and quiet or hire them from the owners (4 vintage bikes available: 2 for men and 2 for women).
