20 minutes from Angers, come and stay in the grounds of Château de Montriou, in this gîte that sleeps 8.

Just 4km from the banks of the Mayenne river, with its Port Albert guinguette, and 15 minutes from the Terra Botanica park, you'll enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside while being close to Angers' famous tourist attractions.

With its three bedrooms, two shower rooms and 45m² of living space, this gîte is ideal for a stay with friends or family. The dormitory is perfect for bringing children together, and the two large double bedrooms are ideal for 2 couples.
The tufa stone gîte, dating from 1860, comprises a ground-floor kitchen with dining area for 8 to 10 people, a large 15m² bedroom with a 140x190cm bed, a separate lounge with television, and a dormitory for 4 to 6 children (2 single beds and 2 bunk beds). Also on the ground floor, a shower room with WC, vanity unit and shower.

Upstairs, a bright and spacious suite with a 140x190cm double bed and en-suite shower room with shower, WC and vanity unit.

The origins of the château date back to the 15th century, as does the chapel of the 3 Maries, a listed historic monument that you can visit on site. You will enjoy a privileged setting in the heart of the 2-hectare park. An unspoilt, peaceful and secluded environment, perfect for observing nature.

Françoise, the owner, lives next door to the gîte and will be able to guide you around the sights and places of interest in the area:
10 minutes away is the picturesque riverside village of Cheffes, 15 minutes away is Juvardeil and its guinguette Court Circuit, open all year round, 8 minutes away is the Château du Plessis-Bourré, 20 minutes away is Angers with its castle, medieval city, Jean Lurçat museum and David D'Angers gallery... 1 hour from Laval and 1h40 from Rennes.

For your comfort: beds made on arrival, towels provided, end-of-stay cleaning included.

Shops 5km from the gîte (mini-market, bakery, tobacconist, etc.).

Unenclosed courtyard in front of the gîte. At the rear, a garden under development (planned for spring 2025). Stream and pond on the property. Private car park. Bike shed.
