Situated on the quayside, overlooking the Loire, this guesthouse welcomes you to the heart of local life, within easy reach of shops and amenities, in the owners’ own home.

You enter via an inner courtyard with a staircase leading up to a small terrace offering a lovely view of the Loire and the bridge. You enter via the living room, where Isabelle and her partner will give you a warm welcome. You then proceed to your entirely private 35 m² floor, situated on the second level.

The sleeping area comprises an 11.5 m² bedroom fitted with a double bed (140 x 190 cm), a small table with two chairs, storage space and a hospitality tray with a kettle.
A hallway with a bookcase, a landing with an air-conditioned study, and a large bathroom with a bath, double-basin unit and toilet complete this comfortable and light-filled space.

Breakfast is served in the owners’ living room and features products carefully selected from the market and from local producers: dairy products, cheese, organic fruit, sourdough bread, homemade brioche or pastries, and freshly squeezed orange juice on request – a real treat for the taste buds.

Isabelle, who is passionate about history and heritage, will be delighted to advise you on the many places of interest in her home region. In Chalonnes itself: a visit to the Grande Île for a stroll, a picnic and nature spotting; walking or cycling along the ‘Loire à Vélo’ cycle route; a cruise on the Loire; a ride on the little train through the Layon vineyards… And a little further afield, the Château de Serrant is 10 minutes away, whilst Angers is 25 minutes away, home to Terra Botanica, the Château d’Angers and the Jean Lurçat Museum…

Free on-street parking in front of the house or on the quay 50 metres away. Air conditioning on the landing. The house is also home to a dog and two cats. They are quiet and rarely cross paths with guests. There are around 25 steps in total to reach the bedroom.
