Are you looking for a family activity centred on biodiversity? The Cap Loire team offers a guided nature walk!

Over the course of an hour and a half, you’ll explore two aquatic habitats home to very different species.
First, go on a hunt for small creatures in the pond in Cap Loire’s irrigated garden and discover the incredible life hidden there: insects, amphibians, molluscs… Armed with your landing net, you’ll collect a variety of species before identifying them and learning more about each one.

In the second part of the activity, you’ll head to the banks of the Loire to observe the birds that live on and around the river. With binoculars on loan from Cap Loire, you’ll be able to admire some iconic species: cormorants, gulls, terns… Discover their distinctive features and learn how to recognise them easily. A brilliant opportunity to get started in birdwatching!
