30th Symposium of monumental sculpture: creation of works along the Loire à Vélo between Angers and Nantes...
For sixteen days, the Quai du Saumon is transformed into a veritable open-air studio, where creativity takes centre stage. Before visitors’ eyes, the artists create their monumental sculptures live, offering a live spectacle and special opportunities to discuss their passion.
The opening night on Friday 26 June at 6pm on the Quai du Saumon in Montjean-sur-Loire: discover the projects of the selected artists.
The closing night
On 12 July at 5pm, come and discover the finished works during an official presentation, followed by a convivial get-together over drinks and a folk dance from 6pm to bring the event to a close with the groups Avant-Trois and SolÜn.
A must-see summer event, the Montjean-sur-Loire Monumental Sculpture Symposium has enabled this village on the Loire to forge an identity centred on art. Over a hundred sculptures from previous editions are scattered throughout the narrow streets and vantage points overlooking the Loire. You can discover them along the route within Montjean (map available at the tourist office) or on the ‘La Loire à Vélo des Sculptures’ cycle route between Montjean-sur-Loire and Le Marillais.
