The play being performed this year is Un Chapeau de Paille d'italie, a comedy in 5 acts by Eugène Labiche, written in 1851.

Synopsis:
Fadinard is a young Parisian about to marry Hélène, the daughter of a nurseryman in Charentonneau. On the morning of the wedding, the groom's horse eats the hat of a young woman in gallant company. So Fadinard embarks on a frantic quest across Paris, in search of an identical hat to save the honour of the adulteress... followed by the bride, the father-in-law, the cousin and all the guests...
