Circuit VTT du Lion d'Angers, entre rives et villages de charme

Set off on a 31 km mountain bike ride through the unspoilt countryside of the Anjou Bleu. Starting from the Isle Briand departmental park in Le Lion-d’Angers, this circular route takes you along country lanes, through wooded countryside and past charming villages, combining heritage and nature.

From Le Lion d’Angers, the route heads towards Grez-Neuville, before continuing on to Thorigné-d’Anjou and then Champteussé-sur-Baconne. These three villages, which have been awarded the ‘Villages de Charme’ label, reveal their pretty stone buildings, heritage and authentic atmosphere as you travel along the route.

The route then continues towards Chambellay, before reaching the banks of the Mayenne at Montreuil-sur-Maine. The return journey to Le Lion d’Angers takes in the peaceful landscapes of the Mayenne valley, finishing in the heart of the Isle Briand departmental park.

With its mix of country lanes, narrow roads, wooded sections and riverside paths, this 31 km loop offers a varied and refreshing mountain bike ride through the heart of the typical landscapes of the ‘Anjou Bleu’.
