Circuit des papillons

Discover the charming village of Marigné in the Hauts-d'Anjou commune in the Anjou Bleu region, by following the butterfly trail; a pleasant hiking path combining heritage, rural landscapes, leisure activities and relaxation on the banks of the lake.

Starting from the local lake, which comes to life as soon as the sun comes out, take to the paths and minor roads to discover the Marigné countryside. Halfway along the route, just a few strides from the path, don't miss the "Fontaine aux yeux". Then stop for a moment in the heart of the village to visit the Saint-Pontien church and learn about the history of the motte féodale (feudal mound) that stands proudly opposite the town hall, before taking a break in the shade of the pretty, flower-filled wash-house. The 10.2-kilometre route comprises a main loop of 7.6 kilometres. For those who wish, there is a 2.5-kilometre alternative route, signposted in an anti-clockwise direction, which takes in the whole of the butterfly trail.
