Leave the town of La Flèche and its famous Prytanée and head for the village of Clefs to reach Saint Quentin les Beaurepaire. At the wash-house, the "maison des lavandières" (washerwomen's house), now known as the "maison des liseuses" (readers' house), is the ideal place for a picnic and a spot of reading, with a library open to all!
Continue on to Fougeré, a pretty village of medieval origin, home to the church of Saint-Etienne with its famous twisted bell tower, THE local speciality.
From manor houses to old mansions, return to Les Rairies and take the return route to La Flèche via the Cré-sur-le-Loir marshes. This regional nature reserve covers 65 hectares and offers nature lovers a rich variety of flora and fauna.
