BALADE SUR LES 2 RIVES DE LA SARTHE ENTRE CHÂTEAUNEUF-SUR-SARTHE ET JUVARDEIL

It's a lovely walk along the banks of the Sarthe between Châteauneuf/Sarthe and Juvardeil, offering some unusual views of these 2 villages in the Anjou Bleu region.

Start on the right bank, at the leisure area upstream of the Châteauneuf-sur-Sarthe lock, and follow the current along the river, passing under the bridge before moving away from the hum of the town and passing the foot of the imposing lime kilns, now dormant. Keep going and you'll see the bell tower of Juvardeil in the distance. When you reach the leisure area, sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet before crossing the Sarthe with the help of Jacques BELLION, using the chain ferry installed by the local council. You can then climb up the left bank to return to Châteauneuf/Sarthe, on the campsite side. A 6-kilometre walk for all the family.
