Domaine de la Tuffière: an exceptional vineyard in the Baugeois region
Established since the 16th century, Domaine de la Tuffière, located in Lué-en-Baugeois (49), continues a family winegrowing tradition that respects nature. Its 26-hectare vineyard, spread between Lué-en-Baugeois, Fontaine-Milon, Cornillé-les-Caves, Mazé and Villevêque, benefits from a unique terroir of Turonian chalk, ideal for emblematic grape varieties such as Cabernet Franc and Chenin.
A blend of traditional and modern expertise
- Anjou Appellation wines: whites, reds, rosés, crémant de Loire...
- Sustainable viticulture: the vineyard uses integrated pest management, and has been certified High Environmental Value (HVE) since 2018.
- Maturation in troglodytic cellars: dug into the tufa rock, these offer ideal conditions for maturing red wines in barrels.
- The vineyard has been awarded the "Caves touristiques" and "Vignobles et Découvertes" labels, guaranteeing a warm welcome and a rewarding wine tourism experience.
A preserved historical and natural setting
Situated between the Loir and Loire rivers, the vineyard sits on a hillock surrounded by forests and châteaux, a landscape shaped by centuries of wine-growing history, thanks in particular to the monks of the Tuffière Brûlée priory.
