Fer & Lignes - Metalwork and Wrought Iron Art, Between Tradition and Creation
Fer & Lignes is a family-run craft business that perpetuates the age-old techniques of metalwork and wrought ironwork. Didier Salaris uses the forge to create bespoke pieces that combine traditional expertise with contemporary creativity.
Working mainly in steel, stainless steel, brass and copper, he produces a wide range of creations, including studio windows and bay windows, contemporary staircases, banisters, gates and furniture. His expertise also extends to heritage restoration, notably the locksmithing of stained glass windows in prestigious monuments such as the cathedrals of Strasbourg, Tours, Bourges and Bayeux, as well as the Sorbonne chapel and numerous churches and abbeys.

Didier Salaris opens the doors of his studio all year round, by prior arrangement, on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. During these visits, he takes visitors behind the scenes of his craft, from the first sketches to the final shaping, with machine and forge demonstrations.
A fascinating journey to the heart of metal and fire, where passion and excellence meet.
