Domaine du Haut-Puiset

Overlooking the Loire and Thau valleys, the Haut Puiset estate enjoys a privileged setting not far from the Loire between Angers and Nantes.

Perched on its ancestral hill overlooking the Loire Valley, the Haut Puiset estate at Mesnil-en-Vallée in Maine et Loire is spread over 25 hectares on the north and south banks of the river.

A family estate since 1950, its terroir is distinguished in the north by its greasy schists and poudingues soils, and in the south by its clay soils.
to the south at Ingrandes-sur-Loire. The climate is exceptional, with mist from the Loire creeping through the vines, creating a favourable climate for the development of noble rot and producing an exceptional sweet white wine.
The Denis family's vineyards are cultivated using sustainable methods, with the vines grassed over and the soil worked.

The estate produces a fine range of wines: AOC Anjou white and red, Anjou Villages, Anjou Coteaux de la Loire, Cabernet d'Anjou, Crémant de Loire white and rosé, Sauvignon, Chardonnay.

Sylvie, Gérard, Jean-Louis and Florian offer you the chance to taste these wines with a view over the Loire Valley. A privileged moment just a few kilometres from the Loire villages of Montjean-sur-Loire and Saint-Florent-le-Vieil!

Our favourite: their Anjou Coteaux de la Loire, a wonderfully mellow wine with aromas of figs and quinces.
