Want to discover a little more of the Mauges?
Climb up to the natural cirque of Courossé, a listed site since 1995. The rock, made up of micaschist outcrops, towers over the winding river Èvre at a height of more than 60 metres. At its foot, enter the abandoned miller's village (4.8km).
Would you prefer a view over the Loire Valley? The 19-metre-high Moulin de l'Epinay, a windmill dating from 1822 that is still in operation, will delight young and old alike (1.3km).
For the more motivated, you can pick up the Au Fil de l'Èvre walk, a 100km linear route linking Vezins where the river rises to Notre-Dame-du-Marillais where it flows into the Loire, or paddle the Èvre from the Èvre Loisirs leisure centre at Notre-Dame-du-Marillais. Something to keep young and old busy!
