Fishing gîte for 6 people on the banks of the Mayenne

On the banks of the River Mayenne, this former presbytery has been converted into two modular gîtes with "Gîte de France" status, in the heart of a charming village in the Anjou Bleu region.

Situated between Angers and Laval, a former 16th-century vicarage in a picturesque setting! In a village awarded the ‘Villages de Charme’ label, Chenillé-Changé (part of the new municipality of Chenillé-Champteussé) is renowned for its commitment to preserving its heritage and environment. With views of and direct access to the banks of the River Mayenne, this holiday cottage is ideal for a rejuvenating break. There are plenty of activities nearby: La Flèche Zoo, 50 minutes away; the Mine Bleue, a former mining site open to visitors, 30 minutes away; and the Refuge de l’Arche, a sanctuary specialising in the care of wild animals, 20 minutes away. There are plenty of walks to enjoy as you explore the landscapes of Anjou, particularly along the Mayenne towpath. Terra Botanica, Angers and its historic city centre are just 40 minutes away.

The single-storey holiday cottage comprises: a living area with a small fitted kitchen (microwave, electric hob, oven, fridge, etc.), a lounge area with a TV and a dining area. There are two bedrooms, each with a 160cm x 200cm bed and a 90cm x 190cm bed. There is a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet. Fans are provided.

The enclosed, tree-lined garden with views over the River Mayenne will delight young and old alike! A barbecue, garden furniture and parasols are provided for enjoying long lunches in the sunshine. Further down, there is a public children’s play area along the River Mayenne (featuring a slide and a seesaw).

Additional charges apply for: electricity consumption exceeding 8 kWh per day, and heating (electric). Baby equipment: a wooden cot is available; high chair, baby bath and potty available on request.

On the floor above is a second holiday cottage which can be connected to this one. Rent both holiday cottages to accommodate a total of 12 people (reference H49G014932 – Presbytère 2). Mobile phone reception is poor with SFR, Bouygues and Free. Dining options are available in the village.
