A former lock-keeper's house dating from 1852, converted into a stopover gîte, situated on the towpath (in the commune of La Jaille Yvon) with a breathtaking view of the dam and the village of Chenillé-Champteussé.

The 127m² lock-keeper's house has 3 adjoining bedrooms (max. capacity 10 people in a dormitory), a kitchen and a lounge/living room, as well as a garden and a bike room with maintenance kit. It has been completely renovated and redecorated, and can also be rented in its entirety (request by email). Charming accommodation, the gîte welcomes cyclists, hikers and itinerant tourists on the "La Vélo Francette" cycle route or on their way to Le Mont Saint-Michel from Angers. A closed bicycle garage is at your disposal. Equipped with bike storage, washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes line and all you need for cycling (pump, bike kit, repair stand, etc.), you can also recharge your batteries. In the garden, there's a jet for cleaning your equipment. Often rented in its entirety for weddings at the Domaine des Rues (2.5kms), or for a visit with family or friends to Terra Botanica (30 minutes away by car).
