BOUCLE VÉLO ENTRE ANJOU ET PAYS NANTAIS

Discover the Loire by bike between Angers and Nantes on a 23km loop linking Champtoceaux and Oudon to Mauves sur Loire. Discover both banks of the Loire!

Hop on your bike and head for Nantes to discover the historic border between Brittany and Anjou, the Loire.

Start at the Cul du Moulin, where you leave Champtoceaux and its hanging mill. Then pedal on to La Varenne to admire the panoramic views over the Loire Valley. The Château de Clermont (Louis de Funès' castle) and vine-filled hillsides can be seen in the distance. Continue on through the floodplain meadows characteristic of the Loire Valley. Reach the bridge and cross towards Mauves sur Loire to reach Oudon. From here, stop for a glass of Malvoisie or Muscadet at Domaine des Genaudières in Le Cellier. Continue on your way, stop and look up to admire the Folies Siffait. When you arrive in Oudon, take the opportunity to visit the château and discover the secrets of this river steeped in history.

The route is split between a green route and a shared route.
